Included, too. are the Deans of other campuses—Fine Arts, Hastings, Davis, Medi- cal Center and many others. Great responsi- bility lies on the shoulders of these Deans who must see that the University turns out more and better educators, chemists to meet the demands of a scientific age, and also capable engineers, architects, business men, lawyers, and other leaders. Through the years the steady rise of Cal's fame as a seat of educa- tion and her predominate position in the nation today may be attributed in many cases to the ability and renown of her Deans.
