DEDICATION ROBERT SIBLEY points to the place where Hal Bingham, 06 author of All Hail Blue and Gold perished Completing twenty years of active service for the California Alumni Association, Robert Sibley has made a notable contribution to the University of California. Graduating in 1903 as the first class edictorian to speak in the Greek Theatre, Mr. Sibley was honored with Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi, and Golden Bear during his undergraduate days. He returned as professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University in 1911 and was on the faculty until 1915. Becoming the youngest full professor in his college generation at California was the signal honor conferred on him by President Benjamin Ide Wheeler. Almost being drafted to his present office, influential Californians requested he lead their Alumni group. With an organization of 2000 members when he took charge, California can now boast of an Alumni Association of 26,000 with an endowment fund of one-half million. An untiring worker, Robert Sibley has endeared himself to all who have known and worked with him. Popular and friendly, Bob, in a large measure typifies the highest type of a Californian.
