One of the great privileges of serving as Chancellor of The University of Calgary is the opportunity, if only fleetingly, of meeting on Convocation Day many of you whose pictures appear in these pages. As you crossed the stage, one by one at Convocation, that moment synthesized your years of effort and your successful achievement of a goal. You are the University's raison d'etre, the breath and pulse of the institution. Each of you has added a strength and a vital dimension to The University of Calgary and it is my hope that the reputation of your Alma Mater will continue to grow and be enhanced by your continuing personal and professional growth.
