Our relafively small buf fighf- ly knif group has insfalled a greafer number of pledges fhan ever before. Our group, being an academic rafher fhan social group, has enjoyed in fhe pasf many inspiring and in- formafive lecfures. We have insfifufed a policy whereby our meefings are enhanced by fhe presence of a guesf speaker. These speakers are drawn from our faculfy and many pracficing denfisfs. We have insfifufed and hope fo improve upon a Big Brofher Movement Unlike fhe I984 Big Brofher, ours is a pracficing denfisf in fown assigned fo an under- graduafe. Since Denfisfry is a profession in which sfudy and fhe will fo gain knowledge is imperafive, we feel fhaf by having a Big Brofher we can supplemenf our formal educafion. We have had some social affairs. Af fhe beginning of fhe year we had a parfy af fhe Old Posf Road Inn. Lafer in fhe year, a parfy was given af fhe home of our Disfricf Regenf Dr. Eugene Lerner. Our annual Med- Denf Ball Cockfail Parfy and our closing affair were nex'l' on fhe agenda and proved fo be enioyable evenings. On fhe whole, we feel fhaf we have had a successful year and hope fo confinue fo live up fo our chapfer's name - Alpha! K

There are a good deal of fond memories fied wifh fhe achievemenfs of fhe Brofherhood fhis year. V We sfarfed off fhe fall wifh an all ouf affack on repainfing fhe house. Thirfeen men, armed wifh painf, ladders, furpenfine, scrapers and four cases of beer, relenf- lessly benf fo fhe fask: and when fhe dusf had cleared, fwo days lafer fhree quarfers of fhe house had a brighf green and whife coaf, along wifh fwo of fhe windows and fhe fronf walk. Now we were se'l' for fhe parfies. Under fhe direcfion of brofhers Carfer, Dimon, and Jasczak, we experienced one of fhe mosf successful semesfers of parfy giving. The parfies were beffer affended and beffer appreciafed by fhe rushees, fhe brofhers, and a good fime was had by all. The laborafory in fhe basemenf was finally finished fhrough fhe carpenfry efforfs of Jasczak and has been subsequenfly puf fo good use. Lasf year fhe Delfs of Buffalo Chapfer were second of all fhe Dell' Chapfers in fhe counfry. Affer having fasfed fhis morsel of glory, we became addicfed and fhe Brofherhood is pleased fo inform fhe world fhaf we have finally become fhe fop banana : fhe 'lop Delfa Chapfer in fhe nafion. This was done fhrough fhe devofed and unflinching leadership of our Depufy, Dr. W. Hinson Jones and fhrough fhe con- sisfanf backing and assisfance of our illusfrious alumni. We are parficularly pleased wifh our own Ernesf LaLonde, who fhis year was awarded a scroll from fhe Supreme Chapfer for being fhe fop man, scholasfically of all fhe Delfs in Buffalo. Sevenfeen men from fhe freshman class have fo dafe pledged fo our Brofher- hood. We musf admif we were pleased af fhe quanfify, buf fhe qualify unmisfakably assured us of a fop ranking Brofherhood in fhe fufure years. As fhe year ebbs, and fhe seniors become a liffle more ouf of reach, we cannof help buf feel fhe loss of cameraderie fhaf we have so enioyably builf up fhrough fhe years. To fhese men: Dolan, Sand, Margarone, Sgroi, Jones, Nohe, Nash, Schmidf, Negus, Lalonde, Balcerak, we exfend a warm farewell, an expression of grafifude for fheir assisfance and a mosf sincere wish for fheir success.
