Gibson Anatomical Society was founded by the Medical Classes of I9l9 and I920 in honor of the late Professor of Anatomy and Secretary of the Medical Faculty. The Society has as its objectives the promotion of superior scholar- ship among medical students and stimulation of interest in scientific investigation. ln accordance with these aims, fourteen students are chosen from the sophomore class in recognition of superior academic accdmplishments in the freshman year, particularly in the subiects of gross, microscopic and neural anatomy. The Society also sponsors a series of lectures at which distinguished speakers vaddress the mem- bership and guests. ln I96l-I962 Dr. Berkeley Zinn spolce on the Segmental Anatomy of the Lung and Dr. Joseph M. Dziob on Surgery of the Hand. At the end of the academic year, a banquet is tendered in honor of the new members and they are formally welcomed into the Society.
