Square tables, blaring music, cigarette . . . pairs of feet trodding the brick steps, hands opening doors, fingers flowing to the jazz rhythm . . . a friendly smile. a caustic re- tort, an emphatic rebuttal-the familiar- ities of environment which fade into an euphonious monotone. And as a wheel re- volves and gains momentum, so do the activities at Alumni Hall, revolve, inter- twine and form the buzz of student life, Time is a part of Alumni Hall-the wasted hour before class, the Weekly meet- ings for committees, the hungry crowd at twelve o'clock, the impatient minutes one waits in line for a cup of coffee, and the gaiety of fraternities and sororities during the weeks of rushing. Disregarding time, professors and students exchange opinions, coeds plan party weekends, and foreign stu- dents assimilate American slang expres- sions. Alumni Hall has been necessary to our campus-from the basement Knight Club, to the cafeteria, study,lounge, and meeting rooms, Alumni Hall has offered a refuge from the rain, a meeting place for student leaders, a locale for campus cuties, and a center for relaxation from the school- book routine. The white pillars will no longer be sur- rounded by students, but the activities and sentiments will be perpetuated in another building filled with new equipment and better facilitiesg however, in reverence to the memories each student has, we dedicate this yearbook to Alumni Hall-the heart- beat of the University of Bridgeport.
