VERY IMPORTANT PIGS Razorback Beauties, Who’s Who Chosen Several students became recog¬ nized for outstanding achievement at the University. Judging for the 1982 Razorback Beauties took place during the week of November 30 through De¬ cember 4. Various organizations sponsored candidates for the honor. Candi¬ dates were judged in five areas: poise, beauty, campus involvement, scholastic achievement, and an in¬ terview which was conducted by various faculty members and ad¬ ministrators and a student represen¬ tative. Of the 37 girls nominated, 6 be¬ came finalists while 7 were named Razorback Beauties. Chosen by a commission of stu¬ dents representing all facets of the University, twenty-three students were selected into Who’s Who on the basis of their demonstrated leadership capabilities, academic achievement, and service to the University and the community. The Arka Razorback football team’s vote termined the queen and her col Sigma Nu and Sigma Chi frj nities sponsored the Miss Unh 1 ty of Arkansas pageant. This I eant was a preliminary pageant the Miss Arkansas Pageant in Springs. The Miss Black Unive of Arkansas Pageant was spon$ by Students Taking a New Di sion.
