A full time staff man ' s the computer center besides the many business students who are required to complete this course. Occasionally, BA students branch out and take a course in Arts and Sciences where the mechanical mind is at a loss. 29

Education Trains Nation’s Teachers The College of Education prepares students for pro¬ fessional service in the fields of teaching, counseling, supervision and school administration, lhe college also strives to improve education in general by providing- consultative services, by engaging in educational re¬ search, by encouraging young persons to enter the teaching profession and by maintaining a Teacher Place¬ ment Bureau. A Committee on Teacher Education, composed of representatives from the Colleges of Agriculture and Home Economics, Arts and Sciences, BA and Education, continually studies the total program of teacher educa¬ tion and makes recommendations for its improvement. By meeting specific requirements of the College of Education, education majors and students from other colleges on campus may participate in the student teach¬ ing program. The University Elementary School in Pea¬ body Hall provides facilities on the elementary level. Students in the secondary field are sent to schools in Fayetteville and surrounding areas. Henry H. Kronenberg is dean of the College of Edu¬ cation. Under his direction, the college’s program has been approved by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. An elementary teacher has to be a little of everything — mother, confidant and entertainer — even an orange juice dispenser. Dean Henry W. Kronenberg
