College Researches Agri Problems As the Land Grant College for the state, the University is responsible for leadership in agriculture and home economics. The division of Agriculture, which includes programs of resident teaching, re¬ search and extension in agriculture and home eco¬ nomics. assumes this responsibility of leadership. As well as the technical agriculture and home economics curriculum, the college also includes basic training in the sciences and humanities. There are five plans which an agriculture student may choose to best satisfy his interests and goals. Students in home economics may enroll in electives or the teacher- education curriculum. In accordance with an agree¬ ment with the College of Veterinary Medicine of Okla¬ homa State University, residents of Arkansas may com¬ plete training in veterinary medicine at OSU without paying out-of-state tuition. Glenn W. Hardy is the dean of the College of Agriculture and Home Economics and reports directly to the head of the Division of Agriculture.
