The length of term may be for a ten year period, but expiration dates are so arranged that one mem- ber's term expires each year. VV. VV. Sharp, Brinkley attorney and planter, succeeds Harry L. Ponder of Walntit Ridge. Mr. Sharp is the father of Jennie V. Sharp, a sopho- more in the college of Business Administration. ,lohn Clinton Black of Rogers, who received a BEE degree with honors in 1921, was named to the position formerly held by J. H. Snapp, Fitz- hugh. Nlr. Black is manager of the Southwestern Gas and Electric Company. Raymond Orr, president of the Athletic lV1ining and Smelting Company, Fort Smith, replaces Hugh Park of Van Buren while P. E. lV1urphy, banker of Junction City, succeeds Judge .lohn G. ' Herbert Thomas, Fayetteville insurance execu- tive, was re-appointed to serve for his second term. His daughter, Jane, is a sophomore in Arts and Science. Uldest board member, Fred I. Brown, is a founder of the Arkansas Foundry Company and a graduate of the College of Engineering. His appointment expires in 1951. Col. Euclid Smith, Hot Springs, has been ap- pointed to serve until 1952. Three remaining nienibers of the board are attorneys. They are Judge H. S. Yocum, El Dorado, who will serve until 1949, Louis Mc- Daniel, Forrest City, until 1947, and .lay VV. Dickey, Pine Bluff, until 1948. Niarion Vliasson, treasurer of the University, Fayetteville, acts as secretary.
