This building was formerly the state capitol build¬ ing. In the foreground of the picture is the famous cannon, Lady Baxter. About two-thirds of the State of Arkansas is covered with forests. Also contributing to the rich scenic beauty are nearly a thousand lakes, most of which are natural lakes. They are found in all parts of the state.
