| | | | : | The Student Uni | e Student Union | | Located on the west side of the campus is the building that was named in honor of our beloved president, the | Lawrence A. Davis Student Union Building. This is a two- story brick-glass structure which houses the college cafe- teria, student lounge, director’s office, bookstore, post office, snack bar, forum room, billiard room, student activities office, alumni office, the Bailey Memorial Room, television room, board room, and an outdoor terrace for recreation, dancing, skating or just watching the moon and stars. Colorful motifs elaborately furnish the entire building. Comfortable seating is provided for students who wish to mingle socially or listen to the sounds of the inter-communi- cation, public address, and music system. The building serves as a community center for students, faculty and other family members and a visitors as well. It promotes social, recreational, educational and cultural op- portunities. Many feet trod across the threshold of the Student Union Building. For recreation we go to the game rooms, television, snack bar, and on the terrace for dining in the moonlight or to “look across the universe.” The student | cannot imagine A. M. The beautiful auditorium or multi-purpose room seats 175 people. The new library provides a variety of uses for the stu- dents such as, consulting general reference tools, working alone at a private desk or carrel, typing without disturbing others, talking over one’s library problems with fellow students or faculty members, smoking, listening to records, browsing among books, reading a current magazine, in a comfortable lounge-type chair, or examining exhibits de- signed to stimulate the curious, or to exploit library re- sources.
