To investigate misdemeanors or other illegal occur- rences on campus. To supervise and maintain traffic regulations during school hours, at special events. To enforce the laws in cases of emergencies pertain- ing to behavior unbecoming the college student and actions deemed not in step with good public relations and in keeping with the good image of A. Searles - Director of Health Services The infirmary includes two five-bed room wards, two private rooms, and two semi-private rooms. It includes a central kitchen, a general office, nurses’ office, and a spe- cial section for the college physician and dentist. Included also is a modern X-ray unit in the laboratory. The doctors serving at the infirmary carry heavy loads due to the in-take of new patients daily. Since the large Infirmary increase in students, the personnel in Browne’s Infirmary has had plenty of work on hand. Part-time Doctors R. F. Bryant and W. L. Molette are kept quite busy. Browne’s Infirmary operates under the direction of Mrs. M. D. Searles, R. N. 1 Browne’s Infirmary is the scene of health for those who are ill. Students receive round the clock service from the infirmary. One Minute Seems Like An Eternity

Library The New John Brown Watson Memorial Library is mod- ern, adequate, comfortable, beautiful, and most of all func- tional. The students have found the new library differs from the old one in that it provides more adequate space, and it is more comfortable. The library is an excellent place for study. The new library seeks to become the heart of the in- tellectual life at A. M. N. College. The building seats ap- proximately 550 readers and the shelving capacity is rough- ly around 109,000 volumes. The beautiful auditorium or multi-purpose room seats 175 people. The new library provides a variety of uses for the stu- dents such as, consulting general reference tools, working alone at a private desk or carrel, typing without disturbing others, talking over one’s library problems with fellow students or faculty members, smoking, listening to records, browsing among books, reading a current magazine, in a comfortable lounge-type chair, or examining exhibits de- signed to stimulate the curious, or to exploit library re- sources.
