The calculations of machines, the clattering of type- writers, and the ringing of the cash register meets one at the door to the business office, one of the most vital assets to A.M. N. College. This office spear-headed by Mr. Sylve- ster Early, keeps an accurate account of the student’s finan- cial obligations and assists the president with the functional budget. Because of the size of the student body, the business office maintains a large staff, which includes students ma- joring in business. These students work on a part time basis and help in levying all student fees, keeping records on students’ accounts, controlling student salaries and compiling monthly and annual data. Although the business office still lacks sufficient room and the Business Manager faces many tasks such as handling, purchasing, exercising control over contracts, deeds, bonds and insurance, the situation is adequately coped with be- cause of the ability of the Business Manager to reflect his vibrant personality while ably handlin g his perplexing and sometimes complicated duties. RE 98s EE RE | Registrar’s Office The Registrar’s Office, which contains records of each student’s address, grades and attendance, is like a ticket office to every student who enrolls here at A. M. and N. College. Mrs. Della Phipps, the Registrar, and her staff are res- ponsible for helping to keep accurate records of the college, preparing the honor roll, preparing individual evaluations for the student, and compiling individual ranks in classes. With all these tasks to perform the Registrar’s Office still spends countless hours preparing transcripts for many students who have graduated and those who are making preparations to graduate from our dear Alma Mater. The Registrar’s Office shoulders a tremendous respon- sibility because all of the information must be accurate, terse, and prompt. This is made possible by an efficient staff. be Mrs. N. G.
