Dr. David W. Mullins University President Dr. David Wiley Mullins was graduated from the Univer- sity in 1931 and obtained his Master of Arts degree from the University of Colorado. In 1941 he obtained his Ph. D. at Columbia University. Dr. Mullins began his teaching and administrative career in 1941 as an Associate Professor of School Administration at Auburn University. In 1949 Dr. Mullins was appointed as Auburn's Executive Vice-President, a position which he held until he accepted the presidency of the University of Arkansas in March, 1960. Posed between flowers, flags, and basketball goals, Dr. Mullins addresses another graduating class.

The students of our state are a constant source of inspiration to me.
