lgarficiloafion Lyra .szwlenfd Student voice in the regulations governing students is a vital part of campus life. Through the Student Council, consisting of the student body president, the class presidents, and two repre- sentatives from each class, the students are able to make known their desires and suggestions for the improvement of Little Rock Junior College. The Council serves in an advisory capacity to several standing faculty committees and in active capacity to special committees for special events. By the end of the year the Council expects to have effected changes in the Student Government Constitution which will make for a vastly improved social and extra-curricular life on the campus. is W The Social Committee .SZWIQM oogerafion We mark our ballots Social life both on and off the campus is in the charge of the Social Com- mittee, of which Miss Inez Martin is chairman. The committee keeps the college social calendar and plans and directs entertainment throughout the college year. Highlights of the 1951-52 season were the freshman Welcome dance, the parents' reception, the HalloWe'en carnival, the Christmas formal, Stunt Night, the Donaghey luncheon, the all-school picnic, and the sophomore prom. Students co-operate throughout the year in civic projects in which Junior College is interested, such as the Blood Donor Drive, Christmas Seal Sale, the March of Dimes, and the Red Cross campaign.
