D5 Granville D. Davis, Piesident we? gli, Je of 61 glfed el' Dr. Granville D. Davis, an alumnus of Little Rock Junior College, class of '28, was elevated to the presidency in May, 1950. Previous to that, he had been an instructor in history in the college. After graduation from here, Dr. Davis received an A. B. from the University of Arkansas and an A. M. and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. In November, 1951, he was elected Little Rock's Man of the Year by popular vote throughout the state. Howard Pearce Director of Athletics

Brothers joined the staff of Little Rock Junior College as dean in 1930, the college was housed in the north Wing of the High School and its students number- ed 350. Because of his ability to work Well with both faculty and students, probably, Dean Brothers, more than any other one person, besides the late John A. Larson, has been responsible for the progress of the college. Now it has over 400 day students and 700 night students. The Dean's A. B. is from Southwestern College, and his A.
