The student body elects a May Queen and four maids, two freshmen and two sophomores. A program is presented out of doors before the Queen and her court, who sit in state on the front steps. The various departments of the school give different numbers. There are French and German songs and dances. The English department usually gives a play. The chorus presents several musical numbers, and there is choral reading by the speech choir. The climax of the program comes when a group of brightly clad girls dance around the maypole.
