Forming the legislative branch of the Associated VVomen Stu- dents are the members of the General Council. This council consists of one delegate from each sorority house and women's dormitory, one member from Phrateres and all standing commit- tee chairmen. WVitl1 the advice of Miss Clement, the delegates pass the laws which govern the life of each Woman student. In addition to enacting regulations, the Council also coordinates campus activities and plans the AWS formal, Twirp Week and ANN MOYER, AWS president Womenis Day. S UAB Committees Arts and Music ran the browsing library, music listening rooms and Lariat Theater. House Committee members handled all decorations, in- spected the building. Administrative staff did sec- retarial work, while Recreation scheduled con- tests and bridge and dancing lessons. Spe-:ial Events Committee planned the travel bureau and photography contest. Bulletins and Records pre- pared publications. Relations members conduct- ed tours and student surveys. Campus Events Council ,publicized activities.
