FROSH OFFICERS who sparked their class through an active year: Fronf Beverly Clark, Secretary, Jody Thompson, Treasurer. Buck Doug Ward, Presidentg Bob Bailey, Vice-Presb dent. The FRE SHIVIEN Besides wielding the gavel for the Freshman class, Doug Ward, already Well-known to all his classmates, is busy in a number of varied activities and is a member of the University track team. Dougys friends in Bisbee are proud of him and are sure that he will be outstand- ing in his college life. WVe are inclined to agree. Assisting Doug is Bob Bailey, a Tuc- son lad who always wanted to go away to col- lege. Bob is one of the bright catcher pros- pects in next yearls baseball picture and is bound to be a success in any field. Petite Iody Thompson handled the books for the Fresh- man class and hopes some day to go great guns in the advertising World. For the present, most of her time is taken up gaining experience as advertising manager for the Kitty Kat. Blonde Beverly Clark is an activity girl plus. She is putting her experience to good use by Working on the Desert staff and the Kitty Kat. Enthu- siastic in all sports, her main interest lies with Orchesis, the dance honorary. Freshmen Midge Wallace, Bill McDowell, Kay Stunz, Jack Starr, Mary Shellenberger and Bill Griffiths exchanging the latest news between English lA and the co-op. Page 26 E. An active imagination, a little paper, some yarn, and a lot of grease paint con transform a coed into Tonto or The Egg and I, COED CAPERS, women's night ot the university, brought out F.S.T. in a funny, punny skit.
