The 1947-48 law school student body is the largest in the history of the college. Five young lady aspirants to the legal profession are included in this group. The traditions and the exceptionally high standards of the college are preserved and furthered by the new dean, John C. Lyons. The law college student body maintains its own organization and is separate from the rest of the campus in most of its activities. Presidents for 1947-48 were Edward Larkin, first semester, and Sam Goddard, second semester. Page 22 Ed Larkin, president

LAW One of the traditions of the university college of law is the annual Fegtlcy moot court competition enacted in like manner with an official supreme court trial. The senior graduating law students act as chief justices, while other students try fictitious cases. Decisions are granted, and winners, judged by manner of speaking, quick thinking, argument and facts in the case, are announced after all the trials have been held. Graduates from the law college arc qualified for admission to the bar in states which require exceptional thoroughness and training.
