Atkinson, president of the University of Arizona, has capably met and dealt-with the problems of the executive head of a university at War. His cooperation with the ollicials of the Naval lndoctrination School, the A.S.T.P. unit, and the R.O.T.C. has reflected this institution's Willingness to service in the War effort. Dr. Atkinson also has had to cope with numerous leaves of absence and resignations of faculty members, and he has handled these problems eliciently and Well.
