IIE development of visual education in the state may be attributed largely to the work done by thc extension division. 'illiis Elm library is a source through which educational films arc furnished to Ari- zona's public schools. Une of l1is manv important duties is to head the publication of the Arizona Aluninus, a well designed and illustrated news' magazine which includes Llll up-to-the-111i11ute record of the univcrsitv for the benetit of former students. Mrs. Pearle llart joined the stall in 1918. She was responsible for the estab- lislunent and development of the alumni office Hle of former students fl1TOLlgll which the university keeps in touch with alumni all over the world. Last fall this office was re- sponsible for bringing to the campus 30 1nc111bers of the Hrst student body to register i11 the universitv in the fall of 1891 for a program commeniorating the iitticth anni- versarv of the opening of classes.
