With Huffman busily en- qaaed in Simondi's private secretar- ial channels, undersecretaries Tribo- let, Huxtable, Hayes, Petty, and lones took care of odds and ends, sending invitations for Mothers' and Dads' day and carrying on student body correspondence with other schools. Flinging bodily into campus social life, A. W. S. sponsored events ranging from afternoon gossip at Freshman get-acquainted teas to cock- tails and small talk at the annual A. W. S. formal. An in-between affair, a Christmas dance, was also staged. To this event, each co-ed invited her own escort. Under the headmaster- ship of Prexy Dolly Beville, Arizona was capably represented in all A.W.S. con- ventions-Kansas City for the national meet, Flagstaff, the state conclave, and Boulder for the sectional discussion.
