Dr. Leonard is known to the students ot the campus as a regular guy. it Dean Leonard Dean Riesen Dean Burgess Sigma Xi, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Lambda Up- silon, Alpha Chi Sigma-this string of Greek letters symbolizes Paul Steere Bur- gess' achievements in the many fields he is interested in. Since 1924 Dr. Burgess has been with the local agriculture department, assuming full charge of the co1lege in 1931. Since 1930 when Emil Richert Riesen be- came dean ot the L. A. S. college, he has built that department to the largest in the University. Dean Riesen came to the- campus in 1918 in the capacity of registrar.

p 2111.4 o Q 0 0 0 0 0 o rj Gurdon Montague Butler has been dean ot his college since 1915, and also director of the Ari- zona Bureau oi Mines since 1918. Dr. Butler is state geologist along with his other activities in mining and engineering in the university. Dean Butler Dean Fegtly Dean Clarson The College of Law, one of the smaller but more dynamic on the campus, is un- der the legal hand of Samuel Marks Fegtly, who since 1925 has been dean of that de- partment. 1-le is a member oi the American Bar associationy Phi Beta Kappa, Delta Bho Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Gamma Mu. After being professor of secondary educa- tion here since l92l, Willis Clarson became dean of the college in 1927. l-le was pre- sident oi the Arizona Educational associa- tion. The vast majority of t e a c h e r s in grade and secondary schools in the state show the results of Dr. Clarson's tutelage.

Dean Anderson p 21115 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Seven hundred students, four hundred and seventy-one activities, and new programs of all sorts spell the arrival of a new era that has come to Fine Arts College since Dean Arthur O. Anderson took it over this year. NM' Dean Brown Dean Turner The school of business administration was created by the Board of Regents last March and since then it has been the fastest grow- ing college in the entire university. Dean E. I.- Brown is the capable head of this school. The student graduating from this college gets a Bachelor of Science degree. Helene Turner, assistant dean of women, in the short space of time that she has been here, has received praise for her efficient work and the manner in which she handles her job. She handles all absentee slips and inspects student dorniciles monthly.
