We of a later generation would go further and declare it to be essential for the preservation of our civilization. As the average man loolcs at the reigning confusion in the world, at the pyramicling race for armaments, at the dismal failure of man's best-laid plans to abolish war, he may well feel that universal peace is a myth. But youth ever loolcs upward and often inspires with idealism. Perhaps someone among us will be the leader of the great host of humanity in the progressive search for peace. We will fall in line and trust that, as we face the sun steadfastly, the shadows will fall behind and be no more.
