Permit not yourselves to be led to believe that you can expect to reap a bountiful harvest from fields you have neither plowed, planted, nor tilled. You are fortunate, indeed, to be on our last great frontier and to have the sustaining influence of pioneer traditions. Alaska offers you a field of opportunity so vast I do not presume to estimate its boundaries.
