The past academic school year has been a most progressive one for the Phi Phi Chapter of Delta Sigma Delta. As a result of the consolidated efforts of the undergraduate and graduate chapters we have a well-organized and outstanding representation here. Delta Sigma Delta feels that it can do much toward upholding the high standards of our school by encouraging a spirit of academic aggressiveness in its members, thereby justifying its existence on the campus. During the year we have been very successful in our pledging and initiation programs. With new members added to our ranks we feel assured of a fruitful beginning for the next school year. In spite of the rigorous scholastic demands we have enioyed several fine social events, the most recent one being the annual river party-an occasion for which very member anxiously waits. Phi Phi Chapter would like to express its appreciation to Dr. Hanlin Scott, Deputy Grand Master and Dr. H. P. Hitchcock, Assistant Deputy Grand Master and to other members of the Graduate Chapter who helped make this a prosperous year for Delta Sigma Delta. Page 128

Treasurer Psi Omega is the largest national dental fraternity, and is represented on the Alabama campus by the Chi Tau chapter. The Chi Tau chapter was chartered on the Alabama campus March 3, 1951 with sixteen charter members. This was the tirst dental fraternity to come to the Alabama campus. Since its inception, Psi Omega has maintained its position as a campus leader. Psi Omega still re- mains the largest dental fraternity on the campus and year after year has distinguished itself with member representation in leading campus organizations. In this academic year, ot the tive seniors elected to O.K.U. honor fraternity, three were Psi Omegas.
