Iilli lllSTilliY Looking back over the past two years of our lives we find, much to our amazement, that we have completed two years of Dental Hygiene School. Was this a dream, daze, coma, or a nightmare? We have been Hstrongly urged to attend all class functions from ushering on Sundays to donating our blood for lab experiments. During our first year we eagerly awaited patients. Our second year also found us eagerly awaiting patients, but none could be found. However, this clinic time was not entirely wasted, we became very efficient in folding towels, testing pulps, taking x-rays, and catching up on the latest gossip in the soup store . During the second year our curriculum was to be less concentrated with more practical work. Why didn't someone inform Dr. Robinson of this plan? Throughout both years, the Cat room on 3rd floor was the center of all relaxation, discussion and serious thinking. Kay relaxes - Vern discusses - Sandra thinks seriously about Jim. About this time in comes Betty the walk followed by Jo the stagger . Things wouldn't be complete without Lillian Wilson's account of recent in- iuries - basketball no less. As the last year came to an end we found ourselves establishing definite goals, some of which may never be attained. These goals are a iob, a car, and a man. However, one member of our class has different views on this subiect, huh Barb? Some familiar sounds around campus - Waller's imitations of students and faculty, as characterized by their laughs . . . Mr. Smith's cut again - you can go back to sleep Frank - The slop shop's all out of iello and buttermilk, can I get you anything else Marion? . . . But Miss Sinnett it's 3:30, l've already had two patients, MAYBE Faye will take her . . . Better accept that job in Atlanta, Marianna, l've heard there are plenty of opportunities there . . . it has been rumored that Lou's first 5500 goes for a down payment on a car. Ya'll wait for me. We wonder if Jackie will say that at her wedding. But, Dr. Volker why do you always pick on me. Why not Miss Cagle? You've had five minutes to look at your notes? Social activities for the year included a picnic at Avondale Park which was sponsored by our own A. D. H. A. Another important event for all of us was capping ceremony at which time we received the long awaited caps. Following this ceremony a surprise party was given by our director, Miss Sinnett, and Dr. Charlotte Schneyer. Finding ourselves graduated and facing state boards, we should take time out to thank those to whom we will be eternally indebted - Dr. Charlotte Schneyer for her pop quizes and subtle humor . . . To Eedee for our pleasant excursions to Atlanta -- and to Jan for our Sunday night snacks, home-cooking no-less . . . Leonette, for handling the kicis . . . Miss Sinnett, Julia, and Cris for corrective criticism in clinic. All kidding aside, we have had many memorable experiences, lasting impressions, and unforgetable friends. We shall remember these things wherever we go and whatever we do. Our only regret is that these two years have passed too soon.
