WILEY Publicity Chairman MISS SUSIE LEE WARD Social Chairman The first and primary aim of Pi Mu Epsilon is scholarship for the individual member in all subjects and particularly in mothematics. This goal has been achieved in many phases since 1922, the founding date of Alabama Alpha here at the university. One of the charter members of Alabama Al- pha, Dr. F. A. Lewis, is at present head of the mathematics department. Those members of the faculty and the s tudent body are recognized by nomination to membership whose work in the various mathematical sciences has been highly distinguished. Papers ore presented at monthly meetings for the purpose of encouraging a continuing interest among mem- bers. Various contests are open to the entire student body, sponsored by the organization to stimulate outside interest in mathematics. Alabama Alpha of Pi Mu Epsilon looks to the future with a confident hope that the world will become more conscious of mathematics and their usefulness. MEMBERS Robert C. Asquith Frank M.
