delta chi ALABAMA CHAPTER Delta Chi was founded at the Capstone in 1924. Founders ' Day was observed in October, with Beazey ' s Banquet following in November. Dances were held in Birmingham after the Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Auburn football games. January welcomed the annual Winter Formal and May again greeted the Spring Formal. Four new trophies found their way to the Delta Chi mantel as a result of championships in golf and bike racing, and second place in softball during the Spring quarter. During the Summer, the fourth cup was acquired when they won the Softball championship. Some of the best known Delta Chi ' s over the campus ore: Robert Sweat, Phi Eta Sigma, Pi Mu Epsilon, Tau Beta Pi, Theta Tau, St. Pat ' s Council, American Institute of Chemical Engineers; Bob Owen, Druids, Jasons, YMCA, Who ' s Who, Delta Sigma Pi, Quadrangle, Scabbard Blade, SGA Executive Cabinet, Phi Eta Sigma,- and Lee Roy Manners, Spirit Planning Committee, Arts and Sciences Representative to SGA, Alpha Sigma Omega, and Philos.
