IN MEMORIAM ELLEN BRIDGEWATER The student body felt deeply the loss of Mary Ellen Bridgewater who died early in the school year. She had spent one year at the University with the class of 1933. We extend our sympathy to her family, her friends and her sisters in Alpha Gamma Delta. HAROLD KINDIG The sudden death of Harold Kindig was a shock to the entire student body. He had made many friends during the short period of his attendance. We feel that the class of 1934 has lost one of its most promising members. Through the medium of the Tel-Buch we extend our sympathy to his family and his brothers in Lone Star fraternity. Page 11

MISS MABEL JANE ROGERS Upon returning to school last fall, the students of the University of Akron missed the familiar presence of Miss Mabel Jane Rogers, who died at Portland, Oregon, on July 5, 1930. Her ability as teacher, her interest in University affairs, and her strength and beauty of character had won her the respect and friendship of both students and faculty. While at the University, she served as faculty advisor for the Women’s League and as president of the Spanish Club. She was, in addition to her college work, at the time of her death, serving as president of the American Association of University Women and the local chapter of the Alumnae of the College for Women of Western Reserve University. Although Miss Rogers’ work here is done, in the hearts of all there is a reverent feeling of her continued presence. With her passing not only the University lost one of its most loyal supporters and enthusiastic teachers, but the city as a whole was deprived of a trusted teacher, councilor, and friend.
