The F. H. A. activity calendar was brimful this year, beginning with its installation of officers and initiation of new members. Also, in October, local officers and delegates attended the House of Delegates meeting in Mahomet. The girls sent a Christmas gift box to World Friendship for Children in November, in addition to one they donated to a needy family here in the community in December. This month really kept the homemakers hopping as they presented a pro- gram and gifts of candy made by sophomore classes to the Champaign County Home and went on a caroling party following the regular meeting. Besides many resolutions, the new year brought a doll and hobby show in January, and a degree service. The Future Homemakers of America is an international organization and has a large member- ship throughout the nation. But let's get back to our own school which is a small but essential part of this great organization. In spring a young lady's fancy turns to thoughts of new clothes-some of which were made in home economics classes and modeled for mothers by daughters at a fashion show. The making of tray favors for a local hospital, besides a speaker from a foreign country, topped off the successful year. F Tllllll Hlllllllllllilllllll 0F illllllllllll
