Tamami Miyata is a foreign exchange student from Kasukabe Japan. She is 18 years old. She- stayed with Leroy, Betty, Gail and Brent Gronewald. When asked what her favorite class was she replied, “Art”. Pizza and Spa- ghetti are her favorite American foods. Pepsi is her favorite drink. Go- ing out with her friends on the week- ends is her favorite pasttime. She would rather live in Japan. Thats where her family is. While at Unity she was the Christmas Dance queen. She was also active in Art Club and FHA. She made many friends and enjoyed going to the sports activities. We wish her the best of luck back in Japan. 12 - SPECIAL TIMES

Everyone looks forward to the weekend. The teachers look to it as a time to relax, recharge, and get caught up, while many of the students have big plans for weekend entertain- ment. LEFT: Les Frazier, the new Chef Tell. LOWER LEFT: Crusin’ in their hot rod LOWER RIGHT: Which movie do we want to see? BOTTOM: Watch out. here comes the security guard. Teresa W.: What are you guys doing here? One of those plans is to go to the mall in Quincy. The mall is a great place to hang out on Friday or Saturday nights. There you can shop, see a movie or walk around just to check out the members of the opposite sex. McDonald’s is the popular place to grab a snack, have a quick food fight, and then go crusin’ along Maine Street or the mall parking lot. Jobs occupy some of the more ambitious UHS students on the weekend. Quincy provides many of the opportunities for the employment of students. Les Frazier, Clay Hamil- ton, Suzy Vest, Beth Hilgenbrinck, Jill Woodruff, and Kathy McMullen chose to work in the mall at York Steak House. And Teresa Woodworth must have a lot of energy to work at Wendy’s attending all the customers from Unity. Weekends may provide time for fun, work, relaxation, and family time, but when school begins again on Monday there’s always the Big Question: WEEKEND? McDonalds HAMBURGER j
