Dedication Mrs. Ethel Knodel, librarian at Unity High School, is retiring after 32 years as a teacher. She has been at Unity since 1959, first as both English teacher and librarian and later as a full-time librarian and sponsor of the annual. Mrs. Knodel attended McKendree College in Lebannon, Northwestern University in Evanston and the University of Chicago and received her B.S. and M. S. degrees from the University of Illinois in Urbana. She is a member of the Illinois Library Association, the School Librarians Association, the Illinois Education Association, the National Education Association, the American Association of Uni- versity Women, the Federated Business and Professional Womens Club, and is an active member of the Union United Methodist Church of Quincy. For her time and effort which she has unselfishly donated to the Annual, the Annual Staff would like to dedicate the 1973 Unity Hi-Lites to her.
