I sincerely hope that I, in some small way, have contributed to your educational, moral and social de- velopment. You came as children and you leave as young adults. I wish for you good fortune and happi- ness. Four years have slipped away from our graduating se- niors and another year of school is history for those students returning next year. Needless to say, time is important to each of us. Therefore, in the short period of time each stu- dent is here at U.H.S., it is my desire that plus the knowledge gained in all academic courses, our students learn to appreciate honest work, and realize that for every privilege enjoyed these individuals must assume some responsibility. KEITH Sickles DONALD Peter ELLIS Simler ROLLAND Wittier ROBERT Dittmer GALEN P arrack JAMES Spohr The Board of Education of Community Unit No. 4, composed of seven elected members, is responsible for the organization and administration of the school. Galen Parrack, a real estate dealer, who filled an unexpired term, has now served six years. He served as president during 1966-1967 and was reelected to serve during the next school year. Mr. Parrack served as secretary in 1965-1966. James Spohr, a carpenter, who also filled an unexpired term, has served three years of this term. Don Peter, a farmer, is completing his six years as a mem- ber. Keith Sickles, Manager of Ursa Co-op, and Donald Frazier, a farmer, are completing their fifth years. Mr. Frazier served as secretary during 1966-1967 and Mr. Sickles will serve during 1967-1968. Robert Dittmer and Rolland Wittier, farmers, have completed two terms. Hie responsibilities of the Board this year have varied. They have been concerned with the building of the grade school at Loraine. This building was dedicated during the school year. Mr. Ellis Simler served his first full year as Superintendent for the Unit. Mr. Ralph Payne was selected as Elementary School coordinator in addition to supervising the Federal programs. Mr. J.F. Dopp was the Unity High Principal. Mr. William Die- terick is the attorney for the district. 6
