We honored the Seniors with the great- est Prom ever, Moonlight and Roses , held at the Holiday Inn with the Blue Knights play- ing the music. At the district science fair, Roger Smith won first in forestry and Marie Kaufman, Dean Andrew, and Lloyd Tucker won firsts in biology; Roger going on to win first at State. Barb Knox won the Typing I award; Linda Thompson, the 70-word award; Patti Tieken, the Bookkeeping award; and Jerri Shupe, the Dramatics award. Eighty-nine Seniors came roaring back to school for their final days at U. H. S. Mr. Lococci became our co-sponsor in the place of Mrs. Duke. Rich Mealiff was elected President; Roger Brickman, V. President; Carol Schaffer, Secretary; Janie Doyle, Treasurer; Barb Knox, S. C. Representa- tive; Linda Bastert, Reporter; and Lyle Cornwell and John Duppong, Sergeants-at- arms. Our varsity cheerleaders were Linda Bastert, Patti Tieken, and Linda Venvertloh. Our homecoming float, Unity Rockets to Victory , won first place. Pat Winget was crowned our queen with Linda Bastert, Barb Knox, and Linda Venvertloh as her attend- ants. In December we sponsored the Christ- mas Dance with the Orphans providing the 1963-1964 weUre1CcroJw°neCd «fu and ing oMh B ketbal 1 Sweetheart Dance. Randj'$en Connie Smith, and Lloyd Tucker were in the cast of Danger, Love at Work . Jerri Shupe was assistant director. Randy Allen, Dean Andrew, Sebby Davis, Rowbotham, Jerri Shupe, and Lloyd Tucker participated in the play Taming the Brat Bernie Andrew was chosen as the National FFA Drum Major at Kansas y. g won the FFA Soil and Water Management Foundation award. Lynn Shanks won first in math at the district science fair. Our class was honored with Patti Tieken being second runner-up in the National REA beauty contest. Kent Ferry and . haron Evans represented us at the Annual Staff’s Hillbilly Dance. The Junior-Senior Prom, In The Misty Moonlight , was enjoyed at the Holiday Inn, May 8. Brad Knox and Sebby Davis were crowned king and queen. To end our Happy days, we enjoyed a trip to Chicago.
