£ 960 ‘r StetviCf In the year of 1956, 75 frightened freshmen walked through the doors of Unity High. We elected our officers which were: President, Linda Donley; Vice President, Sue McClelland; Secretary, Nancy Tieken; Treas- urer, Marilyn Rutledge; and Student Council Representative, Judy Reiter. With our sponsor being Felix Borkowski. Our freshman cheerleaders were: Sharon Harms, Juanita Bellomy, Judy Reiter, and Sue McClelland. At the annual staff dance Wayne Fessler and Nancy Ippensen repre- sented our class. Barbara Barnes was chosen as an attendant to the F.F.A. Chapter Sweetheart. In the year 1957, 70 silly sophomores entered school. We again elected officers. They were Paul Mealiff, President; Dean Woodruff, Vice Presi- dent; Carolyn Hamilton, Secretary; Clara Corrigan, Treasurer; Sharon Harms, Student Council Representative; and Kathleen Ohnemus, Reporter. Our sponsors were Mrs. Grace Finlay and Mrs. Hope Tenhaeff. Gerald Graff and Clara Corrigan represented our class in the S-P-Y Dance. In 1958, 65 jolly juniors entered school once again. Our officers were: Dean Woodruff, President; David Duncan, Vice President; Karen Campbell, Secretary; Nancy Ippensen, Treasurer; Danny Voorhis, Student Council Representative; and Stanley Tucker, Reporter. We put on the Junior Play called Where's Charlie. Our Junior magazine sales was a huge success with our total sales being $2,600.22. Three girls were selected to be queens attendants for the homecoming ceremonies. They were Clara Corrigan, Nancy Ippensen, and Judy Reiter. The Junior float placed second in the parade. Juanita Bellomy was a varsity cheerleader. Carolyn Hamilton was chosen as Miss Posture at the G.A.A. Carnival. Linda Donley was selected to be the F.F.A. Chapter Sweetheart with Nancy Ippensen, and Nancy Tieken as attendants. Galen Burke and Barbara Brickman represented our class at the an- nual S-P-Y dance. Then when we returned as sophisticated Seniors in 1959 there were 64 of us. We elected our officers which are as follows: Jim Neil, President; Wayne Fessler, Vice President; James Wray, Secretary; Galen Burke, Treasurer; and Gene Cramm as Student Council Representative. Our sponsor was Mr. Merlin Jones. The homecoming queen and her attendants were: Clara Corrigan, Queen; with Barbara Brickman, Karen Campbell, Marilyn Rutledge, and Judy Reiter as attendants. Clara Corrigan and Dean Woodruff were Queen and King of the Sopho- more dance. We sponsored the annual Valentine Dance. Mr. and Miss S-P-Y was Bob Smith and Barbara Brickman. At the Junior Senior Prom, Karen Campbell and Gene Cramm were Mr. and Miss Mardi Gras which was the theme of the prom. We all looked forward to our Senior trip to the Ozarks and we all en- joyed it greatly. Our Class Night was our last show as seniors at Unity High. When we walk across the stage June 3 and receive our diplomas we want all the faculty and our parents and friends to know that we have enjoyed our four years at dear old Unity High. We want to thank everybody from the bottom of our heart. 16
