OomWM WE, the Senior Class of 1956, Unity High School, Mendon, Illinois in the County of Adams, being of sound mind and good memory, do hereby declare this to be our last Will and Testament. To the entire faculty, we leave a sincere thanks and appreciation for all they have done for us during our four years. To Bert Brackenseick and Lloyd Waite, we leave our thanks for keeping our school clean throughout our years here. To the Juniors, we leave our dignity and cherished name, Seniors.’ To the Sophomores, we leave our sense of school loyalty. I, ADALENE MILLER, will my love for barn dances to Janice Parrick. I, CONNIE MERKER, will my snare drum to Charlie Homan. I, DICK MOORE, will my place as president of SS to Bill Steiner. I, JEANNE MITCHELL, will my love for Chevvies to Barbara Daugherty. I, ETHEL MYERS, will my position in the Library Club to Richard Agard. I, MARCIA MURRY, will my love for shorthand to Lee Cantrell. I, ROBERT PHILLIPS, will my two front teeth to Pat Donley. I, JIM NIGHTINGALE, will my graceful walk to Mary Ellen French. I, DICK RAND, will my humorous ideas to Dorothy Tenvorde. I, DICK PORTER, will a 55 graduate to anyone who thinks they can get her. I, DWIGHT SHUPE, will my singing ability to Judy Simon. I, RONNIE RICHMILLER, will my cowboy boots to John Murphy. I, DON SPALDING, will my love for Marcelline to Gary McAllister. I, MARY BELLE SMITH, will my A’s to Denver Echternkamp. I, ROSEMARY TENVORDE, will my long hair to Sue Agard. I, PAT STARR, will my little feet to Gerhard Jung. I, MARGIE VONDERHEIDE, will my ability to eat to Beverly Weidmyer. I, JUDY VANCE, will my pleasant smile to Coach Nelson. I, HELEN WEMHONER, will my love for Warsaw boys to Janet Tieken. I, LARRY WARD, will my height to Roy Points. I, BERTHA WHITE, will my trips to Shelbyville to Loretta Vandermaider. RICHARD PORTER is a carpenter, his first job was building a new high school at Unity. The Bond issue FINALLY passed. DICK RAND is no longer running into trees because he joined the navy and is running into WAVES. RON RICHMILLER, state representative, has a bill before the house to increase the speed limit in the state of Illinois. DWIGHT SHUPE has become so popular that Eddie Fisher had to seek new fields. MARYBELLE SMITH finished her Science Project on Evolution using a chicken as a model and is now working on a new project--a film entitled, “The Egg and I.” DON SPALDING is now an Air Force Recruiter urging all to study while they are in high school. ROSEMARY TENVORDE, a student of the Patricia Stevens School for models in Chicago, has taken over Bess Myerson’s position on the “Big Payoff.” JUDITH VANCE is now U. S. Good Will Ambassador to China. MARGIE VONDERHEIDE has just released her new hillbyilly record of “Hey Joe.” It’s quite a hit. LARRY WARD has taken over the Bob Cummings TV show employing a 1958 graduate as his modeL Y ou will like this. ELMA WESSINGER was elected the FIRST lady President of the United States in the last election. BERTHA WHITE now has a column in the Windsor newspaper entitled, “Bert’s Lovelorn.” JACKIE WORMAN has taken over the Arthur Murray School of Dancing. Her star pupil is ALLEN DIERKER, who is still training for footbalL MR. HILL, our class SPONSOR, is directing a sextet composed of the little “Mory Hills.” 20
