Our group of the national organization of F. F. A. is comprised of nineteen freshmen, twenty-one soph- omores, nine juniors, and seventeen seniors. Out- standing project work is done by the boys, especially with purebred livestock. The Chick Brooding Project was started here in the shop on January 22 for the purpose of furnish ing food for the spring banquet. The boys won third place in the Homecoming Parade. Seventeen boys showed livestock at the fair in Mt. Sterling; ten showed grain projects in the Grain Show at Milton. F.F.A. The Future Homemakers of America is a na- tional organization of pupils who study homemaking. We work together for better and happier home life for everyone. We think that helping to make happy homes, now and in the future, is the most important thing you can do for democracy. The F. H. A. participates in various activities which contribute to the community and national wel- fare. Contributions are made to the World Christmas Festival and the March of Dimes services. During the week of the safety program of the Illinois Farm and Home Safety Committee, the F. H. A. girls dis- tributed posters on safety in the community. The social activities of the organization are climaxed by the Mother-Daughter banquet.
