What started as a class project mushroomed into an authorized organization at UTHS. Panther Fan Club was the rebirth of an extinct Pep Club. Forty or so interested students met Mondays to organize activities. Memberships entitled fans to a spirit button, newsletter, door prizes and special spirit activities. The Club added much to school spirit with a ‘‘Spirit Ball “Fan Club Express, “Humorous skits at pep assemblies, and “Super Fan Jeff Smit. Members of the club also were the amazing kazoo marching band and cheering society which helped to get all fans involved in school spirit at all athletic events. Fan Club—25
