CHOIR OFFICERS Choir officers were Janice Jokisch, Sandra Jones, Jackie Ross, librarians; Lorena Ballenger, secretary; Mary Kastner, president; Barbara Marsh, social chairman, and absent during the picture was Rich Greeno, vice president. TEENS Ending their fourth year of singing appearances, the teens can recall their moments on the UTHS stage and we students can well remember them, too. Erom left to right are Fat Roeschmann, Judy Abbott. Lorena Ballenger, Helen Tsakanikas, and Sylvia Liedtke. MELODETTES Blending their eight voices together, the Junior girls known as the Melo-dettes will be remembered for their appearances on the U.T.H.S. stage. The girls are Esperanza Ramirez. Nancy Serbousek. Zoerelda Stout, Sharon Johnson, Sharon Griner, Melinda Dailey, Sharon Carroll, and Sharon Mumma.

MR. LADDIE BARRON CHOIR This year’s L. T. H. S. Choir kept busy with a full schedule and a variety of appearances. Very ably handling music of a professional calibre, the choir performed under Mr. Laddie Barron and assistant, Mr. Mallie Williams. Programs were given for Armistice Day assembly, Vesper Concert at Christmas time, WOC TV SHOW, Rock Island County Teacher’s Institute, Baccalaureate, and graduation. The group experienced a thrilling moment when they sang with the Tri-City Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Pierre Belugi in presenting a Family Folk Song Concert, with Mr. Milt Okum, folk singer of New York. The Choir presented the “Ballad for Americans,” with Mr. Harvey Pierson as soloist. Spring found the directors and the choir busily practicing for the annual spring concert. From left to right.
