SPANISH CLUB To promote an interest and to learn more about the Spanish cultures and customs is the object of the growing Spanish Club. Reappearing after being out of activity for a few years, the club welcomes any student taking Spanish, anyone of Spanish descent, and anyone interested in the Spanish language. During the year, the club worked together on projects such as their homecoming float, a roller skating party, an assembly and a dance, a Christmas party, a booth in the school carnival, a Pan-American Banquet, and a program with the Geneseo Club. Serving this year as Spanish Club officers are: Madeline Claus, secretary; Robert Walmsley, treasurer: Dick Bond, vice-president; John Hernandez, president; and sponsor, Mrs. Evelyn Miller. 106

The 125 members of our Pep Club aimed to boost all school activities and spread their pep throughout the school. This year found the Pep Club entering a float in the homecoming parade, decorating goal posts for football games, and attempting to set up an organized cheering section. RIFLE CLUB The shooting of guns is an art, and the Rifle Club of our school tried to promote an interest in the care of guns and knowledge of proper shooting. Each member had an allotted amount of time to practice in the target room during the school week. Through this practice, the members quite often became skilled gun handlers.
