Because this is United Township High School, the place where all of us do a lot of living; where many people grow in friendships that last throughout life; where those who work achieve success; where people thrill with victory and come to accept defeat with dignity — Because this is a place where ideals are formed or strengthened and refined; where all learn to follow the same rules and come to see that everyone is entitled to an equal chance; where the dignity of each personality is recognized and held inviolate — Because our lives here are formed into a pattern that serves as a constant challenge to each one to do his best, to strive for his own success and for the good of all — Because our hopes and ambitions, our pleasures and happiness originate here; many of our future’s fond remembrances will be centered here; and our deepest loyalties are rooted here — Because this is our life; because it is what we made it; because we are each a part of it; because together we are the United Township High School — We like it here.
