ln November 2005, the Equestrian team placed 2nd overall in the regional competition. ln addition to success as a team, many riders also placed well individually. The Army Cycling team took to the road and the track this year with a very young team and had some very strong finishes from many , iiyi . rty , i different riders. In the fall, the team sent riders out to Chicago to T compete at the Collegiate Track Cycling National Championships. C With the talent and motivation of the new riders, the team placed 8m g g overall. , .say , CCt'tr A iiii springgthe team took to the road of the Eastern Collegiate w-4533221 if f f V 't21 ri? MW Vw- T' i 'f My , M, ' ,W - C M Cycling Conference and placed a strong 61 place overall in the conference. A great show of force came from yearling Nic Shamrell who finished in the top three for the season in the lVlens D category. Other new riders this year included plebes Steve Pingree, Alex Krienke, and Derek Merkler, who all showed a great deal of potential by moving up to the Men's C category and finishing strong in several races. Two new women riders, yearling Aston Armstrong and plebe Courtney Rehwoldt, helped lead the team to the Collegiate Road National Championships in Lawrence, Kansas. There, the Army Cyclists braved the wind and the crashes to come away ranked 15th on the road for Dll schools. QQ. 4g:gP5- ZA

The Army Fencing Team is a highly competitive team that uses all of it resources to ensure that each member receives all the skills needed to fence strong. The Fencing team ended last season finishing number one in the National Collegiate Club Fencing Championships. U The championships brought glory and a certain pressure forthe team iiyy glauy cuyyi , li its success. Despite competing against varsity teams with better practice facilities, the team continues to show their strength and are congratulated by their opponents.
