In the fall, the Crew team participates in 6-kilometer races, called head races. Army competes in approximately six or seven head 5 races in the fall. Once it gets too cold to row on the Hudson, the team moves indoors to its state-of-the-art boathouse. In preparation for the spring season, the team works out by lifting weights, running, rowing in the tanks and using the ergo meters. An intense week of training held over spring break kicks off the spring season. In the spring, Army competes in 2 kilometer Sprints, often excelling in such premier regattas as the Dad Vail and IRA. ,wail

While the team does participate in a few competitive events during the year, the primary mission of the CWT is to train its members in the use of military small arms and tactics in order to prepare them for leadership and instructor yyqw ini tirr Q gg, positions in the United States Military. J-9,4-1 Although a young team, the women's team had a very successful fall season, placing 15th out of 46 boats at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta. Weather permitting, the team runs water practices at 0520 every morning. During the winter months, the team trains indoors at the boathouse. Workouts may involve time on the ergometers and in the i rowing tanks. The rigorous spring season was kicked off with the week r , H of spring break spent training at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
