By the time you read this, West Point will be a fond memory, and you'll be on your way to becoming an Old Grad, eager to protect the traditions that were valuable for building character and relationships while you were hene. I have known you longer than you realize, from your pre-admission tiles through your graduation smiles. From start to finish, you have been superb. You have emerged from a world- class leadership crucible to earn a commission in history's finest Army, so the adventure is just beginning. Remember, though, that this is more than your personal odyssey, you wiki soon be responsible for executing the nation's military missions arotmd the world, for molding America's sons and daughters, for modeling what right looks like in standards, behavior, and values. You represent many things to many people: your families are proud of you, the AOG welcomes you into the Long Gray Lineg your branches canit wait to put you to workg your soldiers wili look to you for leadership. Amid all those pulls and expectations, stay close to one another. Few associations in your life will have the enduring strength of those among West Point classmates, in fact, you may soon find that the power and value of those relationships grow with time. That's one ofthe reasons to stay in touch with the AOG: to keep your contact data current. West Point graduates are vital to the Army and the nation, and they are invaluable to one another. As you go to train yourself and others for missions of challenge, excitement, and even danger, remember that you have left West Point well prepared for whatever lies ahead. Your development here as a well-rotmded leader of character could not cover every possible situation that you'll face, but you are equipped with the tools you'll need to think, lead, and win. So, as you meet withthose from other commissioning sources at OBC, other branches at BOLC, and even other countries when you join your units, rely on the values, preparation, and relationships from West Point. You will be successful, but you have the opportunity to be something even greater: noble.
