I The first word that appears on the base of the Mariners' Monument is Integrity. This quality is integral to the U. S. Merchant Integrity Below: Members of the Class of 2007 earn recognition during the second term. Marine Academy's philosophy. Indeed, it is a quality that is at the heart of the Kings Point Honor Code: A midshipman will not lie, cheat or steal. Whether abaord a merchant vessel, where integrity is central to the efficient operation of the ship, from ship's log entries to dealings with shipmates; or in the Armed Forces, when the lives of one's comrades or followers may depend on an honest appraisal of a situation; to the corporate board room, where the well-being of a company and its employees may depend on honest actions, integrity remains central to the Kings Point graduate's way of life. At Kings Point, midshipmen serve the Regiment as Midshipman Officers and as members of sports teams and dubs. They serve their fellow classmates daily through acts of friendship and kindness. In September 2003, the Academy celebrated its 60th Anniversary, symbolizing six decades of Kings Point's outstanding service to the Nation. Service 6
