Ij The three lower figures 1 ict three midshipmen - - It K ma es and ° female. One is K engineer, another is a ! zkie, and the third appears ■formal dress. , Atop the monument is a jure of Edwin J. O'Hara, the ) det-midshipman who lost his ife during World War II in r roic action aboard the berty ship Stephen Hopkins. A bas relief portraying b'Hara in action is affixed to he front of the monument. Inscribed on the front of he stone base are these vords: Integrity, Service, Courage, Respect.
