Snapshots The thrill of going to sea for the first time. That initial walk up the gangway to your first ship with a knot in your stomach. Occupying that gray area aboard ship -- not an officer, and not a member of the unlicensed crew. Somewhere in between, perhaps. The first port of call, and trying to call home! Strange sights, unfamiliar smells, culture shock. And returning Stateside -- boy, it's great to be home! All Kings Pointers share the sea year experince. Most of it's good, perhaps with a few bumps along the way. But it is a maturing event, one that defines you as a seagoing mariner and provides memories for the rest of your life.
